Who We Are
We are The Story Box Producers, a creative trio formed at the height of London’s lock down in March 2020. Upon the closure of London’s Culture Sector, our co-founder Lauren found most of her live storytelling and presenting work cancelled overnight.
Forced to move much of her work online, Lauren drafted in her husband Ian; an events manager, creative producer and graphic designer; and her brother Brad, a videographer, camera man and editor.
And so The Story Box Producers were born! Since then we have produced an online docudrama series for families, on location at Knebworth House with accompanying worksheets and are currently working with Kew Gardens and Museum of London to produce online learning content.
Meet the Team
Storyteller | Presenter | Writer | Producer
Hello! I’m Lauren and I am the writer, producer, storyteller and presenter in the team. I’ve been working as a museum education specialist within the culture sector for over eight years. My client list includes, Kew Gardens, Museum of London, Museum of London Docklands, Historic Royal Palaces, London Transport Museum, London Museum of Water and Steam, Knebworth House, Strawberry Hill House and Orleans House Gallery. I have worked on very varied projects from history to STEM, botany, Shakespeare, transport and everything in between! I work with children from early years right up to the age of 18 and have worked extensively on many HLF funded outreach projects for local community groups, special educational schools and local families. Although lockdown this year has suspended many live projects, I have continued to work, writing and producing online learning content for many large organisations, including Museum of London, Kew Gardens and Knebworth House.
Producer | Director | Designer
I’m Ian and I’m the creative producer, designer, director and all things admin paperworky in the team! I’ve been working in the cultural and heritage sector since 2008, first in a front of house management-based role and then in an events and production based role since 2012. I’ve created events for Historic Royal Palaces; English Heritage; National Trust, where I also created all their family illustration-based content such as trail maps and children’s interpretation; and most recently for the Royal Academy of Arts. Since lock-down I’ve fully immersed myself into to world of online content, creating animations and illustrations for Lauren’s films as well as acting as director and editor.
Camera Man | Videographer | Producer | Editor
Hi there! I'm Brad and I'm the one who holds the camera (otherwise known as the videographer.) I have spent 5 years creating wedding films in the South East seeing projects through from meeting clients right through till post-production and delivery. On top of this, I have worked alongside businesses and non-profits to create promotional films for their websites and social media pages, these include Bomb Cosmetics, Sevens Casino, Hayley's Hedgehog Rescue and The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation. The latter being a finalist for the 2018 National Charity Film Awards. With weddings being off the table right now, I've focused in on making online content for storytellers and heritage sites such as Knebworth House and am always keen for more new and exciting projects.
